Samenwerking CZ en SkinVision

Sinds 2017 werken CZ en SkinVision samen. Een groep CZ-verzekerden mag gratis gebruik maken van de SkinVision app, waardoor ze zelf verdachte huidplekjes kunnen analyseren en niet meer voor ieder plekje naar de huisarts hoeven. Daarnaast helpt SkinVision om huidkanker eerder te signaleren en te behandelen, wat de kans op complicaties significant vermindert.

Huidkanker, een groeiend probleem

Een op de drie kanker gevallen is een huidkanker. Elk jaar overlijden er meer dan 800 Nederlanders aan een melanoom, de meest agressieve vorm van huidkanker. De helft van deze mensen hadden het overleefd als ze eerder een diagnose hadden gehad. SkinVision heeft als doel om in de komende tien jaar wereldwijd 250.000 levens te redden door vroegtijdige diagnose te ondersteunen. Door samen te werken bieden CZ en SkinVision een oplossing voor het snel toenemende aantal gevallen van huidkanker in Nederland. “CZ is, als toonaangevende zorgverzekeraar in Nederland, een belangrijke partner voor ons om samen het gevecht tegen huidkanker aan te gaan”, aldus Erik de Heus, CEO van SkinVision.
