Most cancers have some pretty obvious signs; lumps and bumps, tenderness, pain or sickness. But when it comes to the symptoms of skin cancer, they aren’t always as plain to see. Skin cancer is slow growing and often free of glaring warning signs. That can make early detection tricky.

When we think about our skin we may focus on wrinkles or acne and forget about melanoma or skin cancer. It just isn’t on the radar as much as maybe it should be. In fact knowledge of this common cancer is patchy at best as it simply doesn’t get the same media coverage as some other cancers.

Can vegetables reduce skin cancer symptoms?

We all know that the antioxidants contained in fresh vegetables such as leafy green vegetables, carrots, sweet potatoes and squash are very powerful when it comes to fighting the effects of free radicals. Limiting free radicals means you stand less chance of developing cell abnormalities that can lead to skin cancer and melanoma.
